About
What’s our story?
The Melody Project was founded by three students at the Chapin School, united by a desire to address the loneliness often experienced by senior citizens. Each having over 10 years of musical experience, they set out to make a difference by offering musical sessions to isolated seniors. Thus, The Melody Project was born—a movement dedicated to using the power of music to uplift and connect people across generations.

I’ve always had a deep love for music, having played piano for over ten years, and I’ve witnessed how it can truly lift people’s spirits. For me, music is a vehicle to create meaningful moments and help others feel alive and engaged. I am also a member and contributor to the Gerontological Society of America and the American Society on Aging!

I’ve been playing piano since I was four years old, and music has always been an integral part of my life. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate its ability to inspire, heal, and connect people. To me, playing piano is about creating emotions, telling stories, and bringing a sense of joy and presence to those who listen.

Music has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. After playing piano for 11 years and violin for 10, I’ve realized music is more than just an art. Whether through the rich harmonies of the piano or the expressive melodies of the violin, I love using music to create moments of connection, inspiration, and joy.
