Our Story
The Melody Project was founded by three freshmen at the Chapin School, driven by a shared passion for music and a desire to address the loneliness often experienced by senior citizens. Each having over 10 years of musical experience, the students set out to make a difference by offering musical sessions to isolated seniors. After seeing the profound joy expressed by the residents upon interaction with their younger counterparts, they recognized the potential to scale their initiative. Thus, The Melody Project was born—a movement dedicated to using the power of music to uplift and connect people across generations.

Ever since I first touched the piano keys at four years old, music has been an integral part of my life. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate its ability to inspire, heal, and connect people. To me, playing piano isn’t just about mastering notes—it’s about creating emotions, telling stories, and bringing a sense of joy and presence to those who listen.

Music has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. After playing piano for 11 years and violin for 10, I’ve realized music is more than just an art. Whether through the rich harmonies of the piano or the expressive melodies of the violin, I love using music to create moments of connection, inspiration, and joy.
